Natural Weight Loss Plan
There isn't really a great secret with natural weight loss, just to eat properly (not too much)
and of course get regular exercise. That simple set of instructions should be easy to follow, but not for 35
percent of Americans who are unable to prevent being overweight. The conflicting aspect is that a large percentage
of overweight people are desperately trying to lose those pounds whether it is because they are tired of the looks
they receive or for health reasons.
What most people do not realize is keeping at the right weight is much, much easier than losing
it. If there is one thing we all know, it is that weight gain is likely to happen if we do not take forward-looking
steps to stop it.
Apparently even if you have lost weight with a calorie controlled diet, it doesn't take long if
you come off it to revert to your old ways and you can start watching the pounds go back on again. Natural weight
loss is about losing weight for good and requires switching to healthy eating habits and implementing lifestyle
changes to stay healthy.
The truth is there is a huge price to pay with your health when you are overweight and in
particular, clinically obese. The annoying thing is this isn't rocket science, mankind hasn’t always been this
heavy and we certainly aren't born that way so it means we need to maintain a natural, healthy weight.
Natural weight loss requires a balanced approach which means a diet that contains quantities of
complex carbohydrates, fiber, reduced fat and not too much protein. A typical meal like this would be a jacket
potato with vegetables and some lean meat, which would be healthy and give the balance you require.
Health experts say that dietary fat promotes weight gain because it is a very dense source of
calories and you store those calories as body fat easier than calories from other sources. Another problem is the
obsession with fat free or low fat foods that food manufactures are stacking the shelves with which despite their
popularity are not stopping the problem of obesity.
One of the greatest delusions of the 1990s was that no fat meant non-fattening but the truth is
you are often getting just as many calories from these foods; the calories are just not coming from fat. The term
fat-free can be a trap if you start to believe that you can eat any amount of fat-free food when it is far better
to respond to hunger with healthy snacks.
Health experts say it would be better to try eating every three to four hours, which may mean a
nutritious low-fat snack between lunch and dinner. Determination, will power and belief should be aspects of your
natural weight loss program if you really want to look well and be healthy.
